Mezano CM is a construction management platform used by contractors. On a contractor’s behalf, Mezano CM sends transactional text messages about service visits the customer has booked: booking confirmations, day-before and morning-of reminders, technician on-the-way updates with an estimated arrival time, reschedule notices, and a completion notice. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Customers do not enroll by texting a keyword. Consent is collected in one of three ways:
1. Online, by the customer. The customer signs up on our opt-in form at mezanocm.com/sms-optin (also linked from every visit-tracking page): they enter their mobile number and tick an unchecked consent box that displays the full disclosure. Date, time and IP of consent are recorded.
2. Verbally (by phone or in person). The contractor reads the following disclosure and records the customer’s agreement in Mezano CM:
3. In writing, in Mezano CM. When the customer record is created or edited, the person entering the mobile number ticks the consent checkbox shown below, which displays the full disclosure. The date, time and source of consent are stored on the customer record. This is the exact control as it appears in the application:
Shown above is the consent control as it appears inside Mezano CM when a contractor enters a customer’s mobile number (illustration — not an active form on this page).
Only customers whose record shows recorded consent receive text messages, and only about their own scheduled visits. Every text includes the option to reply STOP; the first message states it explicitly. Opt-outs are honored immediately across the platform.
